US, Philippine forces simulate landing operation in South China Sea

On May 9, Philippine and US forces simulated a landing operation on a South China Sea beach, as part of annual maneuvers that Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte had previously threatened to cancel.

Russian Taifun air-droppable armored vehicle prototypes tested

Prototypes of the Taifun air-droppable armored vehicle designed for the Russian airborne force are currently undergoing state trials, Chief of the Airborne Force’s Automobile Service Lieutenant-Colonel Ilya Ivanov said. "Under the R&D work, prototypes have been developed on the basis of the Taifun vehicle and are currently undergoing state trials," Ivanov said.
