France - Renault Trucks Defense becomes Arquus

On May 24, 2018, Renault Trucks Defense (RTD) will celebrate its new name: Arquus, which means "bow" in Latin. This name will cover all the activities of the manufacturer of armored vehicles. The historical supplier of the French army has eight production sites in the country.

The RTD PLFS  (Poids Lourd - Forces Spéciales) will equip the French special forces (Picture source: Renault Trucks Defense, which will change name on 24 May 2018 to become "Arquus")

Russian Taifun air-droppable armored vehicle prototypes tested

Prototypes of the Taifun air-droppable armored vehicle designed for the Russian airborne force are currently undergoing state trials, Chief of the Airborne Force’s Automobile Service Lieutenant-Colonel Ilya Ivanov said. "Under the R&D work, prototypes have been developed on the basis of the Taifun vehicle and are currently undergoing state trials," Ivanov said.
