186,000 more bullet-proof jackets for Indian army

The Indian Defence Ministry has ordered expeditious clearance of pending proposals for acquisition of arms and ammunition for the Indian Army. Following scathing criticism by a parliamentary panel, the Defence Ministry is “taking action over many critical acquisitions for the army, including bullet-proof jackets and latest weapons,” said official sources.

Russian Taifun air-droppable armored vehicle prototypes tested

Prototypes of the Taifun air-droppable armored vehicle designed for the Russian airborne force are currently undergoing state trials, Chief of the Airborne Force’s Automobile Service Lieutenant-Colonel Ilya Ivanov said. "Under the R&D work, prototypes have been developed on the basis of the Taifun vehicle and are currently undergoing state trials," Ivanov said.
